Oxford (25th October)

Walking through Oxford streets is like being inside Harry Potter 's books. In Oxford I had the opportunity of visiting the following places:

Christ Church

I could see the fan-traceried vaulted ceiling in the tower housing the staircase and landing used in two Harry Potter films; Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Also the Tudor architecture of the grand Dining Hall in Christ Church College which was the inspiration for the set design of Hogwarts Great Hall.

New College

Used as a location in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, you can visit the south cloisters walk where in the film young wizards wear ‘Potter stinks’ badges.  Also see the northwest corner of the cloisters grass quadrangle where under the great Holm Oak scenes of Mad-Eye Moody turning Malfoy into a ferret were filmed.

Bodleian Library
The Divinity School served as Hogwarts infirmary in four films, and where Professor McGonnagal tought students to dance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The Duke Humfrey's Library was Hogwarts library. Both are located at the Bodleian Library, where tours can be booked.
